Reports say that the former Radio Division boss resigned over an alleged fallout with the acting Mediamax CEO Kenneth Ngaruiya.
However, on her part, she maintained that she left the media group because of personal reasons.
She was among the top tier radio journalists who joined Mediamax in August 2018 from Royal Media Services as Milele FM recruited talent to grow its audience and advertising revenue.
Following her resignation, Joshua arap Sang, who was hired by the company’s Kalenjin radio station Emoo, was appointed deputy head of radio and will run the show until a substantive head is appointed.
Mediamax has since gone through a lot of changes since her departure, with two senior executives tendering their resignations on May 11, as the drama occasioned by an unprecedented 50% pay cut over Covid-19 takes a new twist.
The two, Head of TV and Digital, Peter Opondo, and Head of Commercial, Caroline Mwangi had served their notices, with Opondo expected to leave the Kijabe Street-based broadcaster for the second time after another stint that ended in 2015.
