Former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga is a very lucky man. Thanks to his many years of continued and dedicated public service, the fruits have started yielding. Recently, the Kenyan government allocated him 72 million shillings to set up and run his office which was branded ' The office of the former Prime minister" The money was to be spent as follows; 26 million for purchase of vehicles and other transport equipment, 20 million for insurance cover, 10 million for office furniture and equipment, 10 million for employees' wages, 4.2 million for maintaining his cars and 1.5 million for fuel and lubricants. Raila Amollo Odinga is again on the list of about three beneficiaries meant to receive a whooping lumpsum amount of 785 million shillings from the government.
