Dr Anthony Fauci,a leading member of the White House's coronavirus taskforce
, placed himself in quarantine after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for Coronavirus.
The director of the US's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases tested negative for COVID-19, according to the institute and regular tests will be perfomed throughout the quarantine period

The institute added that he is considered to be "relatively low risk" based on the degree of his exposure to the virus and that he would be "taking appropriate precautions as required" to mitigate the risk to personal contacts while still carrying out his duties.
While he will stay at home and telework, Fauci will go to the White House if necessary or called and take every precaution, said the institute. He is the third member of the White House coronavirus taskforce to place themselves in self-quarantine in recent days after a millitary aide linked to Donald trump tested positive of the virus.
