Kenya's Covid-19 cases have risen to 1,109 with 80 cases being announced today which is the highest number so far.
This is from a sample size of 3,102 tested individuals by the Ministry of Health
This is the highest number the country has encountered since the emergence of coronavirus in Kenya on 13th March this year.
Kenya has increased its testing capacity by 40 per cent in the last two weeks in an effort of curbing the spread of the virus.
Of the new cases, 41patients are from Nairobi county while 20 are from Mombasa county.
Siaya's cases have risen to seven and the first case originated from a person who travelled from Kibera Nairobi to Siaya.
