The newest Mpesa tricks fraudsters, scammers and con artists have developed is  the soliciting of funds from Safaricom's Mpesa mobile wallet of generous, sympathetic and unsuspecting Kenyans using pseudo or fake social media accounts on Facebook and other platforms.
